Face masks are everywhere now, but they can be too contemporary and spoil your look when wearing vintage clothes.

The Vintage Face Mask Company produces hand-made quality cotton masks to a traditional design in classic 1940s fabric colours with a choice of period-correct issue stamps to suit service uniforms or civilian clothes.  You can select either traditional cotton ties for fastening or elastic ear loops.  The thoughtful design makes them comfortable enough to wear all day whenever the need arises.

Ideal to finish off your vintage outfit whether for everyday wear or at 1940s World War ll events.

"Both my wife and I are extremely impressed with the quality of the four masks we have received.

My wife who is a Biomedical Scientist for the NHS was particularly impressed with the addition of the filter pocket and how very 'vintage' they appear to be."

Jonathan L, Cambridge

The masks are made to order and individually sewn from a close-weave 100% pure cotton fabric in a double layered pleated design for better filtration and a comfortable universal fit.  A wired nose piece gives them a neat shape and a filter pocket means you can add an additional disposable filter if you wish.

You can personalise your mask by choosing a colour to tone with a Service uniform (Khaki, Mid-brown, Navy or Sky blue) or instead go for classic Black or White.  Orders can be for all the same colour, or a mixture of your choice (eg 2 Navy, 1 White).

You can then select one of several authentic period-style stamps to be hand-printed at the top right-hand corner of the mask when viewed from the front.  Choose from the civilian CC41 Utility scheme issue, War Department issue, Air Ministry issue or US Military World War II issue.  Again, you can choose all the same stamp for all masks or a mixture on each order.

Each mask is stamped by hand, which not only gives a period-correct appearance, but makes each one unique.  However, this does mean that there will be variations in print quality and stamp position between masks, so although it is not 21st Century laser printing, it all adds to the authenticity.

If you prefer a plain mask, you can omit the Issue stamp completely.

Finally, there's a choice of cotton ties or ear loops.  Go for vintage-style cotton ties in white, cream or black for a period-correct adjustable fit or classic cream elastic ear loops for easier on-and-off.

My masks are machine washable at 40°C using a colour-safe detergent. Pop your mask in a knotted pillow case for laundering to protect the ties or ear loops from tangling with any other items.

Please note that these high quality reusable masks are for personal rather than medical use.
